RFQ/RFI/RFP Feature Support Matrix
APES/INFORequestor can generate electronic RFP/RFI/RFQ (RFx) questions that require a vendor response of "Supported", "Partially Supported", "Not Supported", "Paid Enhancement", or "No Charge (NC) Enhancement". This type of response format, known as a Feature Support Matrix (FSP), offers significant decision-making and legal advantages. The FSP immediately highlights the potential problem areas within each vendor proposal, and provides a written record of exactly what each vendor committed to during the product selection process. The RFP Response screen below shows exactly what a vendor might see when responding to an RFP.
In this example, the vendor must respond by selecting either Supported, Partially Supported, Not Supported, Paid Enhancement, or NC (No Charge) Enhancement. This type of response matrix is ideal for selecting software or other complex systems because it quickly highlights where a proposes software or system is strong and weak, and where the costs are being incurred. In the above example, all the vendor must do is click on the desired response to highlight it and it is selected as shown below.
You now have a record of exactly what features were commited to by the vendor, and at what cost. This makes for an excellent contract addendum!
